UNICEF shared a video on July 22 of refugee school children living in Athens, Greece, talking about their favourite things. The children tell the interviewer about their favourite food and cartoons and among other things. When asked what makes them happy most children mentioned members of their family, including their siblings and parents. One little girl said: “My Mum makes me happy all the time.” UNICEF said that the video aimed to show that “above all, a child is a child,” inciting social media users to “share to stand with children uprooted”.
